The Reach of One Special Olympian

Today I got to interview Special Olympics star skier Amy Petersons. She has faithfully worked at Vons grocery store for many years and says someone told her “they couldn’t do it without Amy.” She has volunteered to help people eat who have cerebral palsy and cannot feed themselves. She brought a written speech to the taping today. She also wore her medals today. I asked her which medal was her favorite. She said “gold.” That’s the same word I would use to describe Amy. Gold. Pure gold.
