Ella Claire: My Assistant

The doctor looked at me and said, "I've just reviewed all the ultrasounds and don't distinguish a developed brain. Which is not compatible with life." 17 years ago today. Today, Ella Claire is in the back seat of my truck as we drive around LA and she loves being my "Assistant." Often times life doesn't go as planned. We cried our eyes out that day 17 years ago. But then God has a way of working everything together for good in the end. That's such great news, isn't it? It all works out in the end. In heaven, Ella Claire will have a perfect brain and no physical challenges. But in the meantime, we are tasting great joy in the journey. Not always easy. But joyful. We give thanks to all of you for your support over the years. And we give thanks to God for the life of Ella Claire on her 17th birthday!
