Meet Leo Bunnin of Bunnin Chevrolet!
Leo Bunnin is one of the most successful and well-known businessmen in the auto-industry, but what might be less known is that it is his heart, his values, and his generosity that set him apart as an entrepreneur. Leo is the third-generation president and CEO of Bunnin Automotive Group based out of southern California, carrying on the legacy of his father and grandfather before him. For Leo, his company is more than just a business, although he has a knack for seeking out and making good deals, the company is also a family. Leo has shared that making sure his employees are feeling well supported and appreciated, customer satisfaction also goes up. When his employees are able to do their work in their element, they are better able to serve their customers, furthering the business in the process.
Leo knows and understands the importance of a strong work ethic, a principle that has been at the foundation of this company and handed down through the generations. Leo has mentioned how strongly his work ethic was shaped by simply watching his father at work, taking initiative, doing things the right way even if it was the harder way, and setting an example through his actions for his employees. Leo also stresses the importance and the effect attitude can have on and for people in the workplace. He believes that people can be taught skills, they can be taught information, but they cannot be taught attitude, which makes all the difference in the world. When an employee is a hard worker and they have a cheerful and patient attitude, they are equipped with all the tools they need to be successful. Knowledge and skill come in handy when explaining the mechanics of how things work, but cars are sold by people, to people, and it’s that human to human connection that seals the deal.
Leo has always maintained that generosity is an essential virtue and he has followed that philosophy in his actions consistently. Unfortunately for some, the acquisition of wealth through successful business or other methods does not always lead to generosity. Leo recognizes this is a commonplace occurrence and has chosen to keep generosity as a persistent practice regardless. For Leo, his passion for generosity really stems out of a heart of gratitude. In advising those around him on how to pursue generosity as a practice even when you aren’t the president of a successful organization, Leo has said that it is important to just start somewhere–whether that means taking something out of your room and giving it to someone else or volunteering your time and energy for a worthy cause.
We at Good Life TV have been personally so privileged to be the recipients and the extension of Leo Bunnin’s generosity. Leo and his wife hosted our “friend-raiser” event, “A Good Future,” in their lovely home. Their generosity extends to hospitality; they were incredibly gracious and welcoming to us. Additionally, as of this year, Bunnin Chevrolet has officially become Good Life TV’s first presenting sponsor! We are so grateful for Leo and the Bunnin family!
