Joni Eareckson Tada

Whether it’s speaking internationally as an advocate for people with disabilities or writing over 50 books as a best-selling Christian author, Joni Eareckson Tada has never let her disability hold her back. From a diving accident that left her as a quadriplegic in a wheelchair at the age of 17 and struggling through two years of depression and rehabilitation, Joni emerged with new skills and a desire to make her impact on the world. She has served on various national and international advisory boards and even started Joni and Friends, a Christian organization known for sharing hope through hardship within the disability community. Her work and her foundation have impacted the lives of hundreds of thousands of people with disabilities and their families. Joni has received numerous awards and honorary degrees and has been interviewed TV shows such as “ABC World News Tonight and “Larry King Live.” In this episode, join us as she speaks more about her story and what she has learned along her journey.
